Başlangıç ~ Entrée

So… my first post. Not the best time to get writer’s block, is it? I’ll keep this brief so that I can get stuck into writing about the fun stuff which is Turkish food in all its weird and wonderful forms.

Just as soon as I’ve acquainted myself properly with this brave new world of blogging, I plan to post on a weekly basis about all things directly or tenuously linked to Turkish food. I haven’t got a clear plan for this blog yet – I think it’ll develop organically over time, if you forgive the pun. Who knows? Maybe in time this blog will become more of a personal journal of my life in Istanbul. I do hope not, though – my day-to-day life is very dull.

One thing I am sure about is that I don’t want Meze and More to take itself too seriously – this blog is just an outlet for me to combine two of my favourite things: eating and then boring people to death about it.

That said of course, I also hope that any readers that happen to chance upon Meze and More might find my take on Turkish food interesting and perhaps even a teeny bit informative.
